This is a HUGE blow to the international efforts to aid the poor. Call your representative to encourage the USA to put pressure on Bangladesh to reverse this horrid decision. Mr. Yunus and the board make Grameen what it is today a bank that serves the poor, and allows them to help themselves to better their living conditions.

He should be allowed to choose and train a successor in the next 5 years, and the board should have protections against the government seizing control of the bank in such a way!!

Maybe a restriction on the number of board members that can be removed in one year, and a procedure for the election of new members by the banks shareholders.
