- Social Business in french version
December 07, 2009
After have read books and articles about M. Yunus'work, I came in Dhaka one month, to learn, and work in the Grameen tower. It was for me an extraordinary experience, as professional and as human. (The diary of my internship is available in french on the blogsite: www.sonja.flusin.over-blog.fr.)
Since I'm back in France I try to disseminate the philosophy of Pr Yunus, through a plateforme of economical information: that's a huge work, but a great one, wich gives a sense to a job of strategic consulting. Congratulations to the yunus centre team who work so much to contribute to a change, and I hope that we will quickly be more and more, disseminating that conception of a civilizated capitalism

- NETWORK MARKETING
December 07, 2009
Dear Muhammad Yunus
After visiting your website I was inspired and thought about a particular network marketing program with the same goals as you which are promoting health and wealth. I know this is not exactly a social business as people will make profit but it is a business in which you cannot do well without encouraging others to do well and your success is based on how many successfull teams you can build. Please what is you view on this initiative for i think it is a great way to empower the poor and it has already done this in many countries around the world. Yours sincerely Fife

- New Social Business platform
October 18, 2009
I've developed a social business platform,
designed to rapidly spread social business models through every city in the world. Our platform can be quickly and seamlessly integrated with the Yunus Center (and other related organizations, with a similar mission, like Ashoka.) I would love to demonstrate how this works (to someone at the Yunus Center, or an organization with a related mission) and could help accelerate the uptake of principles Muhammad Yunus has proposed. When we launch in January, this will be at www.selfport.com

We share Yunus' belief that an emerging social business sector will create sustainable solutions for many of the world's health, social, and enviromental issues. And Isoke Laboratory is aligned with the vision and definition of a social purpose business that has been pioneered by Noble Peace Prize recipient Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen family of companies.

i am bangladeshi. i love bangladesh. i love dr.yunus. he is my role model. he is the only hope for bangladesh.when he spend some time for other country then i become very sad. other countries have lot of honest and dreamy leaders but we have none.other countries have lot of natural resources and eligibel leaders by which they are developing too fast, but we have none. allah gives us a only one a diamond mine that is yunus. we have bad luck we do not able to use this. due to some selfish corrupted leaders we lose this opportunity. this is our tragedy.
now i talk about the social business.what you expected i think you will not get as much respond. i think you can use the jakat money in social business. people give this money to poor as food or clothes which will not help them independent. you use this money to help the poor to come out of poverty. people give jakat for fore ever. they don't want money back. so we can use this money as social business. thanks.

- congrats on Indian Parliament talk
October 18, 2009
would love to know more about Grameen's India partnerships in such areas as http://www.bankabillion.org and whether there is any way Grameen can connect with Nilekani's vision for India which seems to me to flow the same way as yours for Bangladesh.
Gandhi used education to end the poverty trap of British colonialism and to this day I believe India's deepest experiments in education are world benchmarks. Did Kalam map this for you when you met?

- thank you sir

With a wide open heart and a breath of energy, I thank you sir! I heard a talk you gave today, it was viewed on-line at the centre for social innovation in Toronto Ontario Canada. And it was like giving me a set of wings... I've struggled in believing I/ one person can make a difference but in your talk you reminded me that all human beings have unlimited potential and that poverty is not natural for us. I'm more determined now that ever to find a way to not only raise funds but figure out and try new models that bridge the gap of the corporate sector with the non profit sector. Thank you is not enough, just know that if you every get down or discouraged, you can rest knowing you have given wings to a complete stranger!
May God continue to bless you and may you be aware of the blessings. In peace & love !joomlacomment 4.0 Copyright (C) 2009 Compojoom.com . All rights reserved." |
